Thank you for attending the Pre-Health Entrance Exam Support Series!
As discussed in the session, this is the first step to planning for your entrance exam! Hopefully you were able to get your questions answered, understanding of the exam prep process, and a student perspective on what to expect. Below are the details on next steps on the entrance exam series!
Refer below to the 2 Tracks that are optional to receive support with their entrance exams:
Track 1: Road to a Kaplan Course
This track is for students who are ready to begin studying for their exams and wish to access a Kaplan course.
Step by Step Requirements:
- Must attend the 1st session (9/10)- COMPLETED!
- Complete a diagnostic test- See the attached document below on how to find your designated diagnostic test.
- You will have up to a month (October 10th) to complete this test
- If you complete your test before October 10th, please refer to the steps below.
- If you do not complete the test before October 10th, you will no longer be eligible to apply for the Kaplan course, but you can utilize the Track 2 option, see below. You will need to meet with STEM tutors to discuss results and to develop a plan of action.
- Meet with one of the STEM tutors to discuss results and to work together in developing a plan of action.
- Schedule a Learning Commons appointment directly with this link:

- If you have never utilized the Learning Commons before (tutoring or SI), create an account first
- Select the LC STEM schedule and create an appointment with either Gustavo, Paul, or Christian
- In the notes section, please indicate it’s a follow-up for the Pre-Health entrance exam support
- Alternatively, you can stop by the Learning Commons (Student Center, 2nd floor), call 972-338-1755, or email lcstem@untdallas.edu and the LC staff can schedule the appointment for you. Please indicate that you want to work with Gustavo, Paul, or Christian, and that it’s a follow-up for the pre-health entrance exam support.
- After meeting with a tutor and discussing your test results you are eligible to apply for the Kaplan course. You will need to email Assistant Dean, Jessica Alvarez (jessica.alvarez@untdallas.edu) and inform that you have completed the necessary requirements and now ready to apply for the Kaplan Prep Course.
Track 2: Road to an Entrance Exam Support with UNT Dallas Learning Commons
This track is for students who cannot commit to a full-time study plan, want to get access to early prep, or are unsure when to begin studying for their exams and need some one-on-one support.
Step by Step Requirements:
- Must attend the 1st session (9/10)- COMPLETED!
- Complete a diagnostic test- See the attached document below on how to find your designated diagnostic test.
- Within this track you are not bound to a time to meet with a STEM tutor, therefore it will be up to you when you take this test and when/if you would like to meet with a STEM tutor.
- This track is much more flexible to students who don’t have the time to commit to these studies and are not interested in the exam prep at this time, but may be later in the future.

- When you meet with one of the STEM tutors to discuss results. After reviewing your results be sure to have an open and honest conversation about your next steps, deciding when you want to start studying, and making sure you are aware of the support you have for these exams at the learning commons.
- After meeting with a tutor and discussing your test results it will be completely up to you on what support you need from the STEM tutors so be sure to communicate what you need regarding preparation for your given entrance exam.
